A run to Duration

A weekend run up to Norfolk with two friends, three very different cars headed the same way: a Porsche 997 Turbo Cabriolet, also bought through Top555 a number of years back, a recently purchased 997 Carrera 4S still with that new-car shine to it, and the Ferrari making up the numbers.

Norfolk is one of my favourite places to drive. I grew up around here, and most of these roads carry some memory or other. The B-roads out to West Acre in particular are as good as anything in the country for it: fast, flowing, and mercifully empty on a Saturday morning.

The destination was Duration, a brewery and taproom set in the old farm buildings at West Acre. Genuinely excellent beer, good street food, and a setting, chimney stack, old barns, a ruin in the background, that makes the drive out worth it on its own.

Three cars, good company, and some of the best road in Norfolk. Hard to beat.
