2008 Ferrari F430 F1 Spider
The last of the analogue V8's. A special "time capsule"example from the golden era of F1-derived road cars.

A record of the journey so far.
This site exists to document a special car properly, as it should be: from origin to the life it's leading now. Cars like this rarely get kept this way. Most low-mileage exotics carry a story rarely shared and once that story is lost, it's lost for good. What follows below is the story of DMZ 430, from factory to today and beyond.
A late, final-revision F1 car, delivered new in 2008 and preserved since.
Built with the final revision of the F1 single-clutch gearbox, this F430 Spider has covered 3,969 miles from new, confirmed 23 July 2026, and retains a full main dealer service history throughout.
Most recently, a full inspection was completed on 5 February 2026 at Graypaul Ferrari Nottingham, at 3,746 miles. A suspension geometry check and the driver's front tie rod end gaiter were the only items flagged, both authorised and carried out. Clutch wear was measured at 12 per cent, and both front and rear discs stand at 1.8 per cent wear. Another year of peace of mind follows.

Specified new in June 2008 for £172,043 including VAT, of which £16,440.84 was factory options alone: the Scaglietti specification, added deliberately rather than left standard. Adjusted for inflation using ONS consumer price data, that is the equivalent of roughly £298,000 today, with the options package alone equivalent to around £28,500.
A Pininfarina design classic, studied in the round.

A dream realised
Owning a Ferrari isn't a decision that arrives quickly. It sits in the background for years while life and work take precedence. This is why, and why this one.
Read entry →As Ferrari told it, back then.
When Ferrari launched the F430 Spider, they took the film crew to the desert. Quite why a car built for Mediterranean coast roads needed a backdrop of empty tarmac and heat haze is anyone's guess, but it was the style of the era: clean light, wide shots, nothing to get in the way of the metal.
Two decades on, camera resolution and production polish have moved a long way. What hasn't moved an inch is the appeal of a naturally aspirated V8 spinning to 8,500 rpm with nothing electronic standing between the right foot and the noise. Some things really were better analogue.
Ferrari's own design notes for the car point to two specific influences. The twin nose intakes trace back to the 156 F1, the car Phil Hill took to the 1961 World Championship, while much of the rear styling, tail-lights included, borrows from the Enzo. Pininfarina shaped the whole thing, refining the aerodynamics with the same simulation software the F1 team used at the time.
Behind the seats sits a 4.3-litre V8 producing close to 490 hp and spinning to 8,500 rpm, an engineering approach lifted almost directly from Ferrari's F1 programme of the time. The electronic differential, first developed for the Scuderia's Formula 1 cars, sharpens traction and roadholding, while the steering-wheel-mounted manettino, the same control the F1 drivers used, lets the driver switch the car's whole character in an instant.
